This morning I had a nutrition client — who has lost over 40 pounds in the last 9 months, mind you — send me this one-line message:

“I blew it.”

Naturally I had to find out what the hell she was talking about.

Turns out, she had an overindulgent meal (with drinks) last night.

One meal.

So we had to have The Reminder talk — which I am sharing with you now — about your weight and your health being THE AVERAGE OF WHAT YOU USUALLY DO.

One meal never makes or breaks your progress.

One poor decision doesn’t negate all the good ones.

Whatever you do most of the time, that’s what you get.

As long as you keep that big picture in mind…long-term healthy habits like planning your meals, getting in your workouts with your personal trainer, and portion management…you will win.

(In fact, you are ALREADY a winner, you just may not know it yet!)

it's ok
Every meal is not the Superbowl.

If you overeat chips and queso and margaritas, you are not a failure.

Failure happens when hurtful decisions stack up over time.

Great news, it works the other way too — SUCCESS happens when you stack up healthy decisions over time.

When you consistently focus back in on the big picture, you can’t lose.

One meal or workout will not influence your health. But a lifetime of choices will.

Remember, it’s not the one-hour torrential downpour that wears away the boulder, but the constant, never-ending dripping. Day after day, week after week, year after year.

So, keep chipping away.

Be persistent.

Be resilient.

Make your ‘normal’ better.

And if you want our help doing that, just ask; we’ll send you options.
